The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
